- Falcon patrol -

Falcon patrol is one of those games that doesn't bother you with stories or intro's and instead once you press the button you are put directly into the action. You fly a Harrier Jumpjet (as far as I can tell) and you must destroy enemy aircraft who are attacking your base. The only weapon available to you are missiles and you can carry up to 100 of them at one time. The other thing you have to keep track off is your fuel because it runs out pretty fast. Both can be reloaded at landing zones scattered throughout the levels and you'll have to land vertically on them but be carefull because you'll be a sitting duck for the enemy fighters.

The enemies consist only of fighterjets which carry both air-to-air missles as well as ground bombs to destoy your bases. They start in waves of two but as you destroy more of them they will keep coming back with more of their friends making life much harder. There are only three jets at your disposal so don't take too many chances and be prepared to lift off quickly when you are refueling.

This is one of those games that doesn't stand the test of time very well because gameplay is very limited and the graphics are nothing to write about either so what's left is a simple game that you'll tire of very quickly. I guess there were enough people that liked the game when it was released though because there was actually a sequel made. The game doesn't do much for me though so unless you liked the game at the time of release I doubt you'll like it now.

Overal rating: 5/10
