There are plenty of pinball
games around but the ultimate pinball quest is probably the only pinball
game ever that has a story mode. The tale speaks of the planet Calypso where
three daughters of the river have stolen the six elements of life which
balance all life. You are the one tasked with visiting each three of the
witches and recover all of the elements and bring balance to the planet.
Each of the three witches is holding two of the elements and you will have
to play on their turf to get them back again. Wuhan rules the desert (wasteland
table) while Freila rules the lands of molten steel (heavy metal table)
and finally Omdure controls the oceans (antarctica table). You will have
to find out how and where the witches hid the elements, in the game this
translates to completing certain things in the level like hitting all the
correct pads on the table. In story mode you will begin with 5 balls and
you will start at the desert level while in arcade mode you will get 3 balls
and you can play and of the tables you want.
Apart from the story the ultimate pinball quest doesn't really have to offer
more than any regular pinball game and the pinball part doesn't really stand
out from the crowd either. This doesn't mean it's bad it's just not anything
special. If you're looking for a good pinball game there's plenty of them
around but for the unique story mode you might give this one a go.
