- Road rash -

Road rash is abtly named because it refers to the friction burn you get when you fall of a motorcycle and scrape along the road. The game has you racing against other opponents and punching, kicking and even using weapons are all game when trying to get to the first position.

The main object of the game is to race and depending on your ending position you will receive a certain amount of cash as a reward. You can buy more powerfull bikes with that so you can play with the guys in the big leagues. Though it's not neccesary to fight during the game it will stop competitors from gaining on you once get ahead of them, just make sure you don't hang around for too long while the others get too far ahead of you so you will still have to race as fast as you can. You don't carry any weapons but kicking and punching are pretty effective, once in a while an opponent will drop a weapon if you hit him so you can use it for yourself. There are plenty courses to choose from with varying diffulty levels and terrain so there will be plenty for you to do. Between races some of the better competitors will sometimes give you tips but more often just trash talk you instead.

Road rash was quite a long running series so it had plenty of fans and who could disagree with racing and a little bit of fighting as well. Doing races can become a bit of a drag after a while though but the amount of tracks definately help with this. You can always try to win the race by actually racing and not beating others. Since this is the original it lacks some added touches the sequels had but it's still pretty good and I can recommend it for some racing fun.

Overal rating: 7/10
