- New York warriors -
|
|
New York warriors is a typical
topdown viewed shooter where you can control one or two heroes who basically
have to blast everything in their path to victory. Along the way you'll
encounter loads of baddies and end of level bosses but you can pick up a
lot of powerfull weaponry to help you in your fight.
The game is set in a post apocalyptic New York and you will progress through
various parts of the city each of which is controlled by a gang. These gangs
are very colorfull to say the least and some of them are the Ramboids, who
bear a striking resemblence to Rambo, the ninjalike assasins, the Ganja,
Sammies and so on. You have your basic AK-47 at all times but you can pick
up weapons like homing missiles, threeway guns and grenade guns. You will
need all the help you can get because there are no friendly people left
in the city, even sleeping bums will pick up a gun and start shooting at
you.
I've seen plenty of overhead shooters like this and this game doesn't really
add anything to the genre at all. That doesn't mean it's very bad or anything
just not groundbreaking but I still had fun playing it through to the end.
It's very difficult though and without a trainer I doubt you will come close
to the end with only three lives. For a quick blast I can highly recommend
this simple shooter to cool off some of that agression.
Overal rating: 7/10
